Who We Are
Mosman (Pty) Ltd is a Level 1, 100% Black-Woman-Owned company that supplies petroleum, oil, lubricants (POL) and allied products to clients across all provinces of South Africa. The company was established in 2013 and has been issued with a Department of Energy wholesale fuel licence.
While ordinary wholesalers focus on competing on price, we differentiate ourselves from other non-refining wholesalers by providing unique solutions that directly address our customers’ challenges. We do this by taking the time to understand their business goals; by employing a consultative approach in order to explore various avenues relevant to their requirements; and by involving our customers in the process leading up to our recommendation of a customised solution.
In order to execute our non-asset based business model, we have forged strong relationships with major oil companies and logistics service providers. This includes strategic partnerships with Sasol Oil (Pty) Ltd Sasol Oil (Pty) Ltd , Bohlale Energy(Pty) Ltd under the umbrella of African Rainbow Capital and Convee Trading.

Bonang Raphala – Chief Executive Officer
Chief Executive Officer, Bonang Raphala, took over the leadership of Mosman (Pty) Ltd following a thirteen year career in financial services, during which she held various management positions in retail and private banking at ABSA, South Africa’s largest bank.
Her experience in private banking, retail banking and business strategy (as well as her Human Resource diploma qualification, BCompt, Management Accounting and Taxation and Financial Management Certificates) give her a unique skillset with which to lead the company and its people. These are further complimented by qualifications in financial management and taxation as well as various management development programme certifications.
Bonang is ambitious, enjoys taking on new challenges and seizing opportunities. She is inspired by excellence and people who are passionate about what they do. She believes in building strong resilient teams and creating a learning environment conducive to personal growth.

Balefilwe Raphala – Group General Manager
Group General Manager, Balefilwe Raphala, oversees the operations of Mosman (Pty) Ltd as well as its two sister companies Letsatsi Civil Construction and Plant Hire (Pty) Ltd and Simunye Fleet Management (Pty) Ltd.
His particular skills set includes an impressive list of qualifications in Agriculture and Business including a Masters degree in Business Development and several diplomas from the Fundamental Management Programme offered by the Unisa School of Business Leadership (SBL). His experience – in the supply of oil and lubricants, fleet management, as well as within the construction and mining – gives him the unique advantage of being able to advise clients from a first-hand perspective.
Balefilwe’s participation in the Murray and Roberts Enterprise Development Programme saw him gain further exposure and relevant experience including heading up the successful execution of joint venture projects that were undertaken together with construction industry partners. Mosman (Pty)Ltd and Letsatsi Civil Construction and Plant Hire are now part of Stefanutti Stocks Enterprise Development Programme.
